About Me

I’m Resa, a twenty-something, semi-crunchy granola, single mom of 1 little mini-man, who(m?) is too cute and smart for his own good. We live in Huntington Beach and spend most of our time bouncing between Orange County, Long Beach and LA.

What do I mean by crunchy? We’re a now formerly breastfeeding, currently cosleeping, occasionally babywearing & attachment parenting family, and I’m lucky enough to be a stay-at-home-mom by way of working for myself.

I got into fitness when I found out I was pregnant and set the intention of finishing my pregnancy in better shape than I was at it’s start. With the support and advice of the Mamavation sistahood, I did, and I’m close to being in the best shape of my life. Because of this, I’ve become a huge believer in family activity – not just doing things together, but staying active together as a family to lead healthier lives. You’ll see a lot on here about my progress and the means by which I achieve them (including healthy recipes and eateries in the Orange County/Los Angeles area).

In addition to being a full-time mom, I’m also a web & graphic designer, digital marketing consultant, recovering Mormon, salsa dancer and music lover. I’m a complete and utter geek as well as an Apple fangirl and iPhone addict. I’m not sure if it’s because I live in Orange County or because I’m still 5 years old on the inside, but I love Disneyland. I’m also a Chargers fan and I once won an office pool for my NFL finals bracket. Legit, right?

Anyway, this blog is a place where I’ll share thoughts, updates on mommy-hood (including what I’m doing to get into and stay in shape), recipes and cooking tips & tricks, geeky nuggets of wisdom & awesomeness, and ultimately, how I make geek look good.
