Music for Summer Nights

I’m a fiend for playlists – it’s almost embarassing how many I’ve made in iTunes. So I thought it would be cool to post some of them on occasion.

So these are some of my favorite songs for a summer evening. I actually have a couple mashups of summer kinda songs, so this particular set is more mellow and a touch more romantic.

Recommended for:

  • Drives along PCH
  • Bonfires or lighting up the fire pit/chimenea at home
  • Chilling with friends
  • Winding down at night & watching the neighbor kids set off leftover fireworks
  • Beachy kinda nights
  • Winding down after a long summer day with someone who rocks your world

So with no further ado:

  1. You and I – Ingrid Michaelson – Be OK (On iTunes)
  2. I’m Yours – Jason Mraz – We Sing We Dance We Steal Things (on iTunes)
  3. Far Away - Ingrid Michaelson – Girls and Boys (on iTunes)
  4. Chimes of Freedom – Bob Dylan – Another Side of Bob Dylan (on iTunes)
  5. Bubble Toes – Jack Johnson – Brushfire Fairytales (on iTunes)
  6. Lucky – Jason Mraz (feat. Colbie Caillat) – We Sing We Dance We Steal Things (on iTunes)
  7. Midnight Bottle – Colbie Caillat – Coco (on iTunes)
  8. No Stopping Us – Jason Mraz – Waiting for My Rocket to Come (on iTunes)
  9. Love on the Rocks – Sara Bareilles – Little Voice (on iTunes)
  10. Revolution 1 – The Beatles – The Beatles (White Album) (not on iTunes. sorry.)
    *Bonus Track:

  • Corcovado (Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars) – Astrud Gilberto, Joao Gilberto & Stan Getz – Jazz Round Midnight (on iTunes)

Yes, I repeat a bunch of artists. I do so because I’m going for a particular vibe and they have it down. So go take a listen, support some great artists, and enjoy what’s left of a beautiful summer!

In the coming weeks, I’ll be posting more playlists (and polishing the way they’re formatted…).
Keep an eye out and subscribe!

Cheers!

I am going to have to compete. Its tough to make a playlist that fits your reason for this particular playlist. Not hating on it at all, just not necessary to repeat the same artist….I will bring mine soon. Thanks Resa, I have something to do when I am not editing videos.
