This week's Mamavation Monday theme is camping. Great outdoors style camping. You know. With the nature and the connection with the Earth by disconnecting with the World. Very big-R Romantic stuff. And because we're friends (okay, maybe not "friends-friends," but you read my blog so I heart you and my unwritten-but-now-written pact with my readers is that I'll be honest with you), I'll let you in on something I don't really mention ever.
I'm not an outdoorsy person.
I KNOW. Big shocker. {keep reading}
It's finally here. Cameron and I have been working on weaning from breastfeeding and last night was the first time he didn't nurse at all at bedtime or during the night. We've weaned. And it's AWESOME.
But it's scary. Breastfeeding is a HUGE calorie burner, and if I hadn't chosen to nurse Cameron, I'm 65% sure I'd be in a very different place physically. Then again, in the weeks since we've eliminated all but bedtime feedings, I've been doing just fine. {keep reading}
Knott's Mother's Day Champagne Brunch
Last weekend, I had the chance to preview Knott's Mother's Day Champagne Brunch for a little Mother's Day pre-celebration, which meant no kids, endless champagne, and other bloggers. AND I DON'T HAVE TO COOK OR CLEAN!!! Heck yes- I'm in!
I'll also admit that on this particular morning, I was legitimately hung over for the first time in years (not "ohhhh, my body hates me, a glass of wine gives me a hangover" hung over, but "holy crap, I haven't drank {keep reading}

I'll admit - as far as children and fairy tales are concerned, the analysis should stay pretty shallow. I mean, "Little Red Riding Hood" upon close examination is a coming-of-age-tale wherein Red more often than not dominates and uses the {keep reading}
#Mamavation Monday: Progress Report
Remember how I was supposed to run a 5K last weekend?
That didn't happen. I totally feel like I'm letting people down, but I'm adding the Zombie Run, Mamavation Virtual 5K, and Father's Day 10K to compensate, and they've all been added to my Running Schedule. This way, I have enough training time OUTSIDE of the semester. I hadn't planned this very well, to be honest, because I hadn't considered that my course load would weigh so heavily on potential training {keep reading}
