It happens every week. That sinking “crap. This again? Already?!” feeling. The Mondays.
And the thing is, I like Mondays. Cameron comes back home, I get to catch up with the Mamavation crew, I don’t work in an office and I actually enjoy my work, so it’s not like the typical “Mondays.”
No, this is more the feeling that time has continued to move, the world kept spinning, and I don’t feel like I’m totally in sync with it. But I think I’m getting there!
I also think I say that every week.
But just in case you’re feeling a little case of the Mondays, too, here’s a little something to brighten up & kick start your week (thanks to Becca of Center Yoga Studio for playing it during class this week- I’ve seriously had it stuck in my head for a little more than 24 hours straight and I don’t mind!):
Anyway, this week’s Mamavation Monday is sponsored by Beanitos and we’ll be talking about GMOs and food labeling, so I thought I’d reshare some information.
First: GMOs and Why You Should Vote YES on 37
And: Other Ways to Get Involved
I also had a chance to visit Melissa’s Produce headquarters here in LA, and 1. WAY fun, 2. I have a lot of exotic fruit tips to share, and 3. (which I daresay was a highlight of my visit) I learned that Melissa’s Produce products are all GMO free. ALL OF THEM, which even includes corn products like their tamale kits. How cool is that?! In case you don’t know, corn is one of the top genetically modified foods, meaning that if you find it in stores, it’s more than likely a GMO. I found this incredibly encouraging, and even more encouraging is that Melissa’s is available in stores nationwide.
I guess encouraging is a good way to start the week, huh? I take it back, Monday. You’re not half bad.

Yay for finding somewhere that you can get GOOD food! :) I hear you about Mondays. I’m at home and like what I’m doing, but there’s just something beautiful about the weekends!
I like Mondays some because that’s my day off of work! ha
