Am I the only one in shock that it’s already September despite the fact that it’s more than halfway over?
I mean, crap.
But it’s been a good month thus far. I’m back under 120 lbs, which I credit to more consistent clean eating and a lot of toddler chasing. So. Much. Toddler chasing.
Side note: Cameron figured out spoons! And by “figured out spoons” I mean he realized that you have to scoop instead of dip. Dipping works for yogurt and applesauce, sure, but cheerios? Not so much.
Anyway, the last couple weeks have been focused on getting and staying organized, and because of this, I’ve actually been able to do things for me. It’s amazing the way that having order and some semblance of day-to-day structure opens up opportunities for other things. Like going to the LA Zoo for as stop on the Tillamook Cheese Loaf Love Tour or actually making it to yoga on Sunday morning or NOT checking email for an entire afternoon.
Seriously, you guys, I went 10 entire hours without checking email yesterday. Don’t act like you’re not impressed.
It’s been nice, and now that it’s cooling down again (oh yeah! heatwave last week. put a nice kink in the works, I tell you what), I’ll be running more regularly (which I’m very much looking forward to).
So what are the rest of you doing now that you’re settling into autumn routines and the weather is cooling down?

How old are toddlers? Are they preschoolers as soon as they are 3? I’m so confused … lol … but enough about me and my confusion over toddler vs. preschooler, let’s get back to you… Congrats on being where you want to be! I love my autumn routine and my littlest one turns 3 on the last day of the month and the next day is Monday and she will be in preschool for the first time for 2.5/hours a day, every blessed weekday. I couldn’t be more happy. She cries every morning her sisters leave and wails, “I want to go to school tooooooooo” so my heart can stop breaking in a few very short weeks. Fall is my favorite season, too, so there’s that. It’s going fast but I’m enjoying it, so I’m okay with all the madness. LOL
I love getting back on schedule! Getting the kids up, dressed and out of the house by 8am leaves me lots of time to get get going! Actually, I’m cleaning more than anything right now– organizing for the winter months!
Organizing….yeeahhh. I love to be organized but getting to that point is taking forever. So congrats to you!
